 WCATY Saturday Program Courses are designed to challenge and motivate academically talented children in grades 2/3 and 4/5 by providing hands-on activities that build skills in critical thinking, inquiry, and communication, and also offer enrichment to inspire children to explore a subject more deeply.
To qualify for Saturday Programs, families new to WCATY will need to submit one letter of recommendation from the following: teachers, gifted talented coordinators, psychologists, or principals. Test scores from the WKCE, intelligence tests, etc., should also be submitted; however, for younger children a second letter of recommendation may be sent in lieu of test scores. Please see the letter of recommendation form for more information. Children that have participated in WCATY programs in the past need only submit an application and registration fee/tuition deposit.
WCATY believes that smaller class sizes and more attention for each child is important to learning. Our Saturday courses are therefore limited to twenty students, and will have no more than 12 students per adult. Please register early to guarantee your spots!
