Supporting WCATY

WCATY is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is not subsidized by public funds - federal or state.

Our annual budget of more than $1 million comes entirely from private contributions, tuition and course fees, and school membership fees.

Only about 30 percent of the budget comes from tuition and membership fees-we must rely on private gifts and grants from individuals, foundations, and corporations for the remaining 70 percent.

Your gift will help support:

• Scholarships and financial aid, which allow eligible students to participate in challenging programs with other gifted students. Donors will receive a letter from the financial aid recipient(s), highlighting their experiences in the program.
  

• Retention of highly qualified instructors to ensure these students' exceptional needs are met and supported.
  

• Identification of eligible students.
  

• Funding outstanding academic programs.
  

• Delivery of online programs statewide to schools large and small, affluent and poor, urban and rural.
  

• Increased visibility of programs through marketing and publications.
  

• Unrestricted funds, which allow flexibility in meeting the needs of an underserved population.
